Glossary

The same words as the word wall in class. The Papiamento words are coming.

Word What it means
AI chatbot A program you type or talk to. It writes its answer by guessing the next words, one after another.
Prompt What you type or say to the AI. A good one has 4 parts: who you are, who it’s for, what you want, how it should sound.
Model The “brain” behind a chatbot, trained on a huge amount of text. ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude each run their own.
Token A piece of a word. The AI reads and writes in tokens: about three quarters of an English word, and Papiamento usually takes more.
Hallucination When the AI makes something up and sounds sure about it.
Source The original document you check the AI’s answer against.
Free tier The free plan of an AI tool. Its limits change often.
Personal data Anything that points to a real person: name, phone number, ID, address, photo, voice.
Transcribe Turn speech into written text, like a voice note into words.
Saved assistant A chatbot with your facts and rules saved, so you don’t paste them every time. Gemini calls it a Gem, ChatGPT has GPTs and Projects, Claude has Projects (the names change).
Capstone Your final project: one real task from your session 1 index card, done with AI and shown on demo night.
Prompt injection Hidden instructions inside a document, web page or email that try to make an AI do something you didn’t ask.
API key A secret code that lets software use an AI model, and bills you for it. Never share it. (Level 2)
Agent An AI that works through a job by itself, using tools step by step, inside limits you set. (Level 3)
Schedule A set time when an assistant does a job on its own, like 7:00 every morning. (Level 2)
Log A written record of what a program did and when. If you can’t read it, it shouldn’t run. (Level 3)
